Živković: Does URA movement see beyond the end of its nose?

Miodrag Živković

Ex-leader of the Liberal Party, Mr Miodrag Živković, assesses that the civic URA movement has the opportunity to choose among several options following the recent parliamentary elections – the best one for Montenegro or for themselves – but if they opt for the right wing and clerical-fascist forces, then they choose to disappear.

“I’ve been striving for an election result in which the DPS and its coalition partners won’t won a majority to rule independently for years. I sincerely wanted that, knowing all the weaknesses of their ruling, disastrous for the development and progress of Montenegro. That scenario happened in this election, but now it turns out that the existing favorable circumstances will be used wrongly,” he posted on his Facebook profile.

Zivkovic also says that the URA movement, as a pure civic concept entirely based on the votes of the pro-Montenegrin most conscious civil electorate, has been given the opportunity to choose among several options – the best for Montenegro or for themselves.

“You don’t need a great political knowledge to conclude that the necessary democratic reforms cannot be carried out with an anti-reform, dogmatic, right-wing and clerical-fascist forces. And even children would know that you cannot implement reforms in your country with those who want it to disappear. Instead of URA movement taking the matter into its own hands, it decided to cooperate with an extremely unnatural “ally”, condemning Montenegro to fear and uncertainty, and themselves to a certain disappearance with the collapse of this project,” Mr Živković underlined.
