Vlahovic with no comment on the “Plagiarism” case

Ms Vlahovic did not give concrete answers to a journalist’s question why she had not commented so far on the accusations by Professor Dimitrios Buhalis that she had plagiarised his scientific work and literally copied part of his research.

“I have said from the beginning – I have publicly commented on the issue twice. A well-meaning public had the opportunity to understand from the statements what it was about. I said that I would not comment in the media on the lynching, which had been lasting for a year now, but that I would give all necessary statements in the institutions dealing with this issue”, Ms Vlahovic said.

She added that she had done that as a serious and responsible citizen, and that she was sure that was the right path.

“I will certainly not encourage those who create media hype and an atmosphere being in favour of certain circles instead of solving the problem,” Ms Vlahovic concluded.

The Director of the International Centre for Tourism and Hospitality Research ICTHR from the UK and Professor Buhalis had publicly said that intellectual theft of ideas and theories were unacceptable in a modern society.
