Over €1,5 million for employment

Employment Agency of Montenegro has released the second Public call for grants for self-employment provide from pre-accession EU funds in ate amount of €7,5 billion. Total amount available for this tender is €1.585.000, which could provide creation of 200 new jobs, it was stated at the conference organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare.

Mr Kemal Purišić, Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, said that the Ministry will invite two more tenders.

“One tender will earmark grants for jobs that are on the low employment rate and training and employing unemployed persons in Montenegro”, Mr Purišić said.

Director of the Employment Agency, Mr Suljo Mustafić, expressed gratitude to the EU Delegation to Montenegro and the European Commission for helping our country through direct grants.

“This program and all individual activities within it are state projects and result of stable cooperation ,commitment and joint work or our administration and Government of Montenegro with EC and EU Delegation”, Mr Mustafić said.

A total of 94 persons have already had grants from the EU funds in the amount of €7,5 thousand.

“And many of them have already started putting their business ideas into practice. Congratulations and I wish them success. The goal is to raise awareness of entrepreneurship and help development of economically efficient and sustainable micro and small enterprises. I must point out that this tender will be in accordance with the highest EU standards”, Mr Mustafić pointed out.

He said that every unemployed person who has been in the records for at least four months, will be entitled to apply.
