At the very beginning of the trial Barovic complained about the way he was brought to court caiming that the invitation was sent to the wrong address in Niksic where he doesn’t live, it was reported by weekend edition of newspaper Novine.
“It is not right to send the police for me and not to send the court order to my proper address. I think this is personal attack on me because you also tried to connect me with another case earlier and there are records about this, but you didn’t succeed. I think all of this is personal”, said Barovic.
Judge Ana Vukovic who is in charge of this process answered that there is nothing personal in her work and that the order was sent to the address received from the authorities and that it was signed by his daughter in law by which the law treats it as delivered.
Speaking about the business with company “Ocean Gold”, Barovic said that he only took his partner from Norway Owen Johansson to CKB bank which he mostly used for his operations, and introduced him to Milka Ljumovic and Bose Tatar who were directors of the bank at the moment, but that he didn’t know anything about the loan the company received for the factory for fish processing.
“We were received by Ljumovic, Tatar and another man whose name I cannot remember. I don’t know if the loan was approved for this operation, and from the newspaper I found out that it wasn’t paid back. Namely, I got out of this partnership very soon so I really don’t know what happened later.
