At the end of March, 62 citizens had over €1m in banks, the Central Bank (CBCG) has told Pobjeda. The owner of the largest deposit amounting to €23.6m is a foreigner.
The number of millionaires in Montenegro is the same as in March last year, while compared to October 2020 it is lower by one, while the deposit of the richest has been doubled.
A total of 59 millionaires have €1m to €5m at their disposal. Two millionaires have €5m to €10m in their accounts, while only one has more than €10m. According to the law on banks, the names of bank account holders are not published.
Interestingly, the largest individual deposit of €23.6m at the end of March was higher than the largest single deposit of a company, which amounted to €22.1m.
