A businessman of Montenegrin origin, Dejan Sekulic, denied the media allegations made by the leaders of the Democratic Front (DF), Milan Knezevic and Andrija Mandic, that he had physically attacked them in the Mazestik Hotel in Belgrade. Mr Sekulic noted that he had filed criminal charges against Ilija Mandic who hit him in the lobby of the afore-mentioned hotel, as well as against the leaders of the Front, Mr Knezevic and Mr Mandic.

In a statement of the DF, made several days after the event, the leaders of the Front accused Mr Sekulic of being a part of “Djukanovic’s crime regime”, noting that such structure of the people “still believe that they can physically attack their political opponents and beat the Serbs in the midst of Belgrade”.

According to their statement, Mr Sekulic, whom the leaders of the DF didn’t know, attacked them in the lobby of the hotel.

However, in a statement for Pobjeda daily, businessman Sekulic points out that it was about “thoroughly planned lies”, as both Mr Knezevic and Mr Mandic have been trying to avoid guilt for the incident in the Mazestik Hotel.

“I’d like to say that we were not fighting, but Ilija Mandic, the son of Andrija Mandic, attacked me after they incited him to do it.
