Front won’t save Krivokapic until opposition leaves the Parliament

This was confirmed for Pobjeda daily by member of the presidency of Democratic Front, Milan Knezevic.

“The opposition should leave the Assembly and not participate in plenary sessions, committees, elections, dismissals, until the Government of Milo Djukanovic is dismissed. Only during the boycott of the Parliament and holding of continuous democratic protests, united opposition should launch an initiative to vote against confidence in the Government and elect in the Assembly a transitional government which will organize the first honest and fair elections”, says Front’s „plan of action unity“.

A similar offer to the rest of the opposition was offered by Milutin Djukanovic from the New Serbian Democracy (NOVA), in an interview with the daily newspaper Dan.

“In its plan, DF has once again expressed the willingness for coordinated action which will lead to formation of a transitional government.. I still believe it is completely irrelevant from which part of the pposition a proposal came, if it contains concrete measures to overthrow the regime. We are facing great challenges and we believe that we will be worthy”, Knezevic said.

The new initiative for a vote of no confidence, regardless of its formal-legal questionable nature, seems to be a political maneuver to prolonge the dismissal and buy more time for the President of the Parliament, Ranko Krivokapic. This effort has become a strategy of a part of the opposition before the forthcoming parliamentary elections.

Democratic Front confirmed it by saying that another President of the Assembly, like Milutin Simovic from the ruling party (DPS), would obstruct the ‘no confidence’ initiative from getting on the Parliament’s Agenda. This would reduce the chances of reaching the ultimate goal, said DF – the change of government.

Medojevic has no confidence in the SDP

President of the Movement for Changes (PzP), Nebojsa Medojevic, accused Ranko Krivokapic that his only goal was to draw the opposition into coalition with Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic. Medojevic used this position to clarify to the rest of the opposition that he has no confidence in the opposition capacity of the President of SDP.

“The decision of SDP to save the power of DPS in Kotor shows what was the real objective of the dialogue with Djukanovic. To draw the opposition into a coalition with the DPS”, wrote Medojevic.
