Flight to Istanbul took off from Podgorica instead from Tivat

Air Montenegro

Due to severe weather conditions in the coastal town of Tivat, today’s flight MNE 401 for Istanbul was organised from the main city Podgorica, the national flag carrier Air Montenegro told the CdM portal.

Montenegrin citizens contacted CdM earlier today stating that they were stuck in Istanbul airport and that the aircraft hadn’t landed in Istanbul, that airport didn’t have any further information on the situation and when they were about to fly.

Air Montenegro, on the other hand, said that they had informed their supervisor in Istanbul about the changes, adding that changes in flights were nothing strange during winter having in mind more frequent bad weather.
