Because their April salary was reduced from €40 to €100, the police came out to defend their rights on the street. The last salary increase for police officers was in 2016. In contrast to them, the salaries of healthcare workers have been increased twice in the meantime. For now, the salary of the police has been increased by 10%, and the next salary increase should be achieved through the amendment of the decree on job groups and salary coefficients of police officers, which would enter into force on 1 January 2023. All this has been said today in Parliament by DPM Rasko Konjevic.

Konjevic has recalled that the Government and line minister Filip Adzic were faced with a decision from the previous Government of Zdravko Krivokapic, which led to a reduction in the salaries of police officers and part of the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

He has said that the police are equipped worse every year.

He reminds us that Montenegro is the only one in the region that does not have stationed radars, while the preliminary design was carried out back in 2015.
