Asked whether there’s a rational explanation for the decision of the DPS Municipal Board in Zabljak to cede the state land to the Church of Serbia, the President of Montenegro, Milo Djukanovic, says that there isn’t any, but, as he notes, it’s an old decision which is being enforced now.
“Heads of the Municipality of Zabljak are responsible for the enforcement of that idea. The president of the municipality explained that the majority of Zabljak residents are the SPC worshippers, and I have nothing to add. I respect religious rights of every individual,” the President added.
However, it’s not an excuse for political decision-makers even though they’re using it.
