Last year’s budget received a double adverse opinion from the State Audit Institution (DRI). The report states that numerous laws were violated. The then finance minister Milojko Spajic said that the opinion was unfounded and that the DRI was the main DPS institution.
The final statement of accounts of the state budget for 2021 did not receive a positive assessment from the DRI.
DRI Senator Nikola Kovacevic says that it is true that this is the first time that a financial report has received a double negative opinion, both regarding the financial report and the regularity audit.
Inflows in the budget were not shown in accordance with the law, a decision was made on temporary financing from the budget without spending limits, and the money was not directed in accordance with legal procedures. According to DRI, a correction was made.
