The deposed governments of Zdravko Krivokapic and Dritan Abazovic did nothing to solve the problem of double-registered voters, i.e. those voters who, in addition to the voter list of Montenegro, are also registered in the voter list of a country in the region. This can be concluded on the basis of the European Commission’s Report on Montenegro for 2021 and 2022, where both documents contain exactly the same critical wording, which calls on the Government to thoroughly investigate allegations of double-registered voters, Pobjeda reports.
“There is no comprehensive audit to increase public confidence in the electoral roll, for example through the implementation of field tests. It is necessary for the competent authorities to thoroughly investigate previous claims about double-registered voters in one or more countries of the region”, the EC 2022 Report states.
