Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office has submitted to the Special State Prosecutor’s Office for further processing the Report of the State Audit Institution (DRI) on the revision of the proposed law on the final statement of accounts for the 2021 budget, CdM learns.
DRI gave a double adverse opinion on last year’s budget final statement of accounts because it was determined that numerous laws were violated, that inflows in the budget were not shown in accordance with the law, that a decision was made on temporary financing from the budget without a spending limit, and that the money was not redirected in accordance with legal procedures.
DRI found numerous irregularities in the final statement of accounts of the 2021 budget, when the Ministry of Finance and Social Welfare was headed by Milojko Spajic, the current leader of the Europe Now movement. DRI stated in its report that Spajic and the then Minister of Capital Investments, Mladen Bojanic, illegally distributed €28.5m.
DRI determined that last year €11.13m were paid from the state budget for hiring contractors for the work, that there were a large number of contracts for already systematized jobs, while for some of those contracts there is no documentation that the work was done.
