Although it was announced for today that the Podgorica company PS Gradnja would start demolishing the Lamela C residential building below the Ljubovic hill, where it sold apartments, this did not happen. Tenants who did not allow the building to be demolished gathered in front of the building, and members of the Police Directorate monitored the situation on the ground. The police withdrew, because the representatives of the Social Welfare Centre did not appear. The gathered tenants called for the relevant minister, Janko Odovic.
If the building is demolished, the tenants announce that they will sue both the investor and the state.
“There are no conditions for demolition. The Social Welfare Centre representatives did not come. The police no longer guard this area, and there is no demolition today”, Lakusic told reporters.
All this is happening after Minister of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property Janko Odovic announced a few days ago on the X network that the named building would be knocked down “when the funds are provided in the budget”. In 2019, the inspection issued a decision on demolition.
