The teams of the state enterprise Protection of the Space of Montenegro, on the order of the competent inspection, started this morning the demolition of the structural unit C, a residential building at the Zabjelo neighborhood in Podgorica. Early this morning, a large number of police officers blocked all approaches to the C structural unit. It is one of three buildings at Zabjelo, built by the PS Gradnja company.
Two trucks also arrived in front of the building around 5 a.m., while police officers can also be seen at the very entrance to the building.
Around 5:30 a.m., for preventive reasons, an ambulance also arrived.
There are also a number of apartment owners with their lawyers in the building and they do not want to leave the building.
The tenants’ lawyer, Sanja Radulovic, told Vijesti TV that there was no legal basis for demolishing the building and that they had not received any warrant. She announced a criminal complaint against the relevant ministry, on behalf of the tenants.
Radulovic said that Minister Odovic was blind to tenants’ problem and that a huge number of laws had been broken.
