The acceptance of Montenegro’s amendments to the draft Resolution on Srebrenica is a great success of Montenegrin diplomacy and a step towards reconciliation within Montenegro and the region, PM Milojko Spajic has said.
Commenting on the fact that the amendments were adopted after refinement, Spajic has pointed out that these were technical changes.
He adds that they want all nations in Montenegro to feel comfortable, as they have had inter-religious and multinational harmony for so many years and decades, which was confirmed in the best way by the census in December.
He also believes that the acceptance of the amendments will have a positive impact on Montenegro’s candidacy for membership in the United Nations Security Council, which he announces for next year.
