Montenegro’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ervin Ibrahimovic, has strongly rejected Milorad Dodik’s claims that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs intervened to prevent Interpol from issuing a red warrant for Dodik and Nenad Stevandic.
Ibrahimovic has condemned these allegations as baseless and politically motivated, emphasising Montenegro’s commitment to the rule of law, good-neighbourly relations, and respect for international law.
He states that any involvement of Montenegro in such a matter would undermine relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina and violate its sovereignty. Ibrahimovic has reiterated Montenegro’s support for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, reaffirming the country’s opposition to any secessionist or anti-constitutional actions in the region.
He has also stressed the importance of regional peace and stability and reaffirmed Montenegro’s European path.
