This morning, the Special Police Department arrested former National Security Agency (ANB) officer Dusko Golubovic on the order of the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT). His arrest was confirmed by Democratic Montenegro official Boris Bogdanovic. The SDT has not yet issued an official statement on the matter.

According to Vijesti, Golubovic is suspected of the criminal offense of forming a criminal organization.

The name of the retired agent frequently appears in public discourse, with politicians often linking him to criminal networks and the former regime.

Last year, Golubovic was questioned as part of the investigation into the 2004 murder of the Dan newspaper editor Dusko Jovanovic.

A few days ago, Movement for Changes leader Nebojsa Medojevic announced on social media that, following pressure from international partners, the Special Police Department would arrest a “major figure” on the order of the SDT.
