Following the incident when a nephew of the Montenegro Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandic, Danilo Mandic, opened fire and wounded two people two months ago, it’s still unknown how he came into possession of an official vehicle when, according to the Parliament of Montenegro, he didn’t work there, not even as a bodyguard of his uncle, Pobjeda daily writes.

Danilo Mandic has been detained after opening fire at Darko Perovic and Aris Turkovic, but, as the prosecutor’s office has determined, his intention wasn’t to kill them. He is now being accused of causing danger for human lives, inflicting heavy bodily harm and unlawful keeping of weapon and explosives.

He behaved in a violent manner before so investigators already know about him. He was even charged with assaulting police officers, but as a nephew of Andrija Mandic “deserved” to get an honorary seat in the government’s plane.

Asked by Pobjeda how come he travelled by the government’s plane, the National Police confirmed it was enough to determine that he was Andrija Mandic’s nephew. The question is who allowed Danilo Mandic to travel by the government’s plane with his uncle, having in mind it was in the capacity of a citizen.

Police said the Parliament Speaker, Andrija Mandic, as a protected individual, in cooperation with the Protocol, decides who, when and in what capacity is going to be part of his delegation and attend official events. He chose his nephew to accompany him, which wasn’t a threat for his safety.

They also claim the border police didn’t have reason to prevent Danilo Mandic from traveling by the government’s plane.

Having in mind that the parliament’s secretary general determines the list of people in an official delegation, the question is how he put an “unemployed person”, Danilo Mandic, in that list and who ordered him to do so.
