The Democratic Party of Socialists’ (DPS) caucus has stated they are going to propose to the Parliament of Montenegro the Law on Prohibition of Fascist, Nazi and Ultra-Nationalist Groups and their Symbols.
“The DPS caucus is about to complete the work on the draft Law on Prohibition of Fascist, Nazi and Ultra-Nationalist Groups and their Symbols. During the next week, we are going to present a proposal for the Law, open a public debate and invite relevant social actors to give their suggestions in drafting of the Law, which would finally put an end to the increasingly frequent attempts to falsify the legacy of anti-fascism,” they said in a statement.
They also expressed their gratitude to professors of the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro, the Association of Lawyers, historians and NGOs dealing with the protection of human rights and civil education, SUBNOR and others for their time and useful suggestions.
