21 members of two criminal groups arrested

In a joint operation conducted by the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT) and the Police Directorate two criminal groups were uncovered, 21 members of which got arrested on Monday.

Police director Slavko Stojanovic said at press conference that the police, in cooperation with SDT, carried out a months-long operation in which they revealed two criminal groups that are responsible for ignition of Police inspector Dejan Knezevic’s car, as well as manufacture and distribution of drugs and possession of weapons.

During the police operation Sado, in addition to 21 people arrested, 77kg of marijuana and skunk was seized, three pistols, one hunting rifle, ammunition and other equipment.

“The arrested are suspected of creating a criminal organisation and the illicit manufacturing and trafficking of drugs,” said Stojanovic.

In addition to Podgorica resident Mirko Jankovic, who is suspected of igniting the opel astra car belonging to Knezevic, the arrested people include: Podgorica residents Komnen Radevic, Almedina Radevic, Vladimir Radovic Filip Sevaljevic and Danijel Pajic, as well as Tuzi residents Abedin Cunmuljic, David Gojcaj, Anton Ljucdjonaj and Ardian Dedvukaj on suspicion of establishing a criminal organisation and illegal manufacturing, possession and distribution of narcotics.

On suspicion of illegal manufacturing, possession and distribution of narcotics, the following people have been arrested: Podgorica residents Blazo and Aco Mugosa, Mirko Jankovic, Marko Celebic Toni Djokaj, Vuk Guberinic, Nemanja Brajovic, Danilo Soskic and Vida and Bodin Marovic, as well as Berane resident Elvis Ceranic and Tuzi resident Ilir Djokaj.

“In accordance with the evidence gathered, criminal charges will be pressed against another seven people. Four of them have not been found and arrest warrants will be issued against them,” Police Directorate stated.

The criminal charges will be pressed against: Albert and Anton Dedvukaj, Damir Frljukcic, Dalibor Nikcevic, Elida Skrijelj, Luka Trubljanin and Irfan Krijestorac.
