Former Montenegrin minister of justice Dragan Soc said that Nebojsa Medojevic’s fear of arrest had no grounds. Commenting on the fact that the Movement for Changes (PzP) leader has not left the Parliament building for seven days in order to avoid being arrested, Soc said that no one intended to set up ambushes for him and that Prosecutor’s Office (SDT) wasn’t embarking on a hunt for Medojevic.
Two days ago, Medojevic refused to attend an expert examination of his computers at the Prosecutor’s Office, because he feared of being arrested upon arrival. The computers were seized during the search of his apartment and PzP premises.
“The proceedings stipulate summoning Medojevic to a hearing, then he would be questioned by the prosecutor, and the prosecutor may order a detention or suggest that the court imposed remanding the suspect in custody. However, neither of the two options must happen. The idea is not to hunt Medojevic by setting ambushes, but the prosecutor must announce that measure. This is not a Hague indictment, so that he might be suddenly arrested,” Soc told Dnevne Novine.
“It’s not the point. It’s more like a political drama and it has political meaning, but not legal,” Soc said.

Asked how the saga between Medojevic and SDT the prosecution could end, Soc said that it was a question for Mato Glusac (Mato Glusac was a psychic and a seer).
“It can take some time, but it cannot last forever. One of the parties must give up. In the end, the special prosecutor must make a certain move because he is the one who shall call Medojevic to testify within the ongoing investigation. This is the first move and it belongs to SDT. Depending on Medojevic’s response, the matter can develop in a bad way. However, if something that will eliminate the detention threat happens, it can be a normal, routine investigation,” Soc said.
