The main trail in the case conducted against the accused doctors Tomislav Jeremic, Zvonko Puletic, Haka Tahirovic and Jela Cimbaljevic has been finished in Bijelo Polje’s High Court.
The doctors are accused in the case of the infection in Bijelo Polje General Hospital in November 2014. Five babies were infected in the hospital’s maternity ward, one of which passed away.
Prosecutor and babies’ families’ attorney sought conviction while defendants’ attorneys sought acquittal, as their clients pleaded not guilty. Judgement will be pronounced on 28 July at 11am.
