“The Appellate Court upheld the appeal of Cadjenovic’s attorney and amended the decision of the High Court in Podgorica, abolishing custody of the accused Mihailo Cadjenovic,” the Appellate Court’s decision says.
The accused was immediately released.
Cadjenovic spent almost eight months in custody for alleged involvement in the coup case.
“For the eight months they failed to break me to falsely accuse the man I spent the last ten years with,” said Mihailo Cadjenovic after leaving the prison.
He was referring to the leader of New Serb Democracy Andrija Mandic, who is also charged with participating in the coup affair.
NOVA representative Slaven Radunovic said that Cadjenovic’s fair struggle lasted for eight months.
“Milivoje Katnic should be ashamed for the rest of his life,” said Radunovic.
