Sindjelic still hasn’t testified

The trial in the case of attempted terrorist act continued before Podgorica High Court on Wednesday.

Although the key witness Aleksandar Sasa Sindjelic arrived to the court, he did not testify. The defence attorneys asked his statement to be excluded from the case files because of the falsehoods he had said. They also required psychiatric evaluation of Sindjelic.

At the moment when judge Suzana Mugosa ordered to bring the cooperative witness into the courtroom, Andrija Mandic’s attorney Nikola Bulatovic required the judge to be exempted from the case due to alleged fact that his client had not had equal treatment before the court.

Therefore the hearing was interrupted and will be continued tomorrow.

Special state prosecutor Milivoje Katnic opposed defence’s requests, pointing out that attorneys were deliberately obstructing and prolonging the process.

“Mandic presented his defence 15 days ago and they have plenty of time to require exemption,” Katnic said.

Today’s hearing was attended by defendant Bratislav Dikic, the case against whom was merged with other defendants’ in this case.
