Minister of Defense Predrag Boskovic said that the Army would never be used on the territory of Montenegro for any types of political fights.
“The new Law on the Army gives the minister only one new duty – to decide whether the Army should be sent to act in natural catastrophes”, Boskovic said.
He underlined the fact that the Army was one of the key institutions that contributed to the NATO membership.
The Law also envisages voluntary military service that will enter into force starting with 2019.
