According to the preliminary data of Montenegro’s Statistical Office (MONSTAT), in the first nine months of this year Montenegro spent €1,68B, which is by 8,2% higher compared to the same period last year. Montenegro spent most of its money on import of oil and oil derivatives, cars and meat.
Economic analyst Vasilije Kostic believes Montenegrin import won’t decrease for a long time but rather increase gradually and steadily.
Total foreign trade of Montenegro in the first nine months amounts to €1,95B which is by 9,4% higher compared to the same period last year.
Car import of the first nine months increased by 18% compared to the last year.
The largest foreign trade partners of Montenegro in import are Serbia (€376,300,000), China (€151,400,000) and Germany (€138,900,000).
