The application deadline for the position of director of the Institution for Enforcement of Criminal Sanctions (ZIKS) passed yesterday. Acting director of ZIKS Milan Tomic and deputy director of ZIKS Sladjan Raickovic applied to the vacancy.
Tomić has been performing duties of acting director in ZIKS since july 2017, after former director Miljan Perovic’s terms of office terminated. He has considerable police experience and used to perform duties of deputy director of ZIKS between 2012 to 2013.
Raickovic possesses relevant police and military experience as well. He has been performing duties of ZIKS deputy director for five years and used to be in charge of prison police control. He also used to be chief officer for protection of persons and objects in the National Police.
