This is how much state prosecutors earn

Regular net monthly salaries at the Prosecutor’s Office of Montenegro range from €700 to €3,500.

Montenegrin prosecutors have three times lower salaries than their Swiss colleagues and even 24 times higher than prosecutors in Armenia. This is shown by the report on prosecutors’ salaries published on the prosecutor’s office’s website.

Nine state prosecutors in the Supreme state Prosecutor’s Office – Ivica Stankovic, Veselin Vuckovic, Drazen Buric, Miodrag Latkovic, Sonja Boskovic, Radmila Cukovic, Petar Kapuci, Djurdjina Nina Ivanovic and Miljana Radovic earn over €22,000 a month.

Thus, the supreme state prosecutor Ivica Stankovic earned the highest salary among prosecutors. It amounted to €2,616 without additional allowances. However, he also earned a €900 allowance for membership in the Prosecutorial Council. Thus he earned €3,517 in August.

Eight of his colleagues have up to €500 lower salaries.

Chief special prosecutor Milivoje Katnic earns €2,309.

Salaries of the basic state prosecutors across Montenegro range from €700 to €1,700 per month, depending on the position in the prosecutorial organization, their rank, years of service etc.
