Montenegro is ready to respond in the event of a measles outbreak, health minister Kenan Hrapovic said.
Yesterday, the first case of measles was registered in Montenegro. A 14-month-old girl who arrived from Belgrade to Podgorica seven days ago was diagnosed with measles. She was not vaccinated. Her health condition is stable today.
“Montenegro is fully prepared for the possible epidemic of measles. Based on the situation in the region last year, we took all measures and activities that a healthcare system can take in terms of prevention and adequate response if the epidemic of measles occurs in Montenegro,” said Hrapovic.
