Russian diplomats are being kicked out of at least 21 countries – including 16 European Union states, the United States and Canada – over poisoning Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia. There are speculations that Montenegro might expel Russian diplomats as well.
A CdM’s source from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs unofficially said that the decision on expelling was not officially made yet. However, the source could not confirm whether it would be made or not.
“Everything is possible and the decision depends on several factors,” the CdM source said.
The US, Canada and a number of EU countries, including Germany and France, have already decided to expel Russian diplomats. Croatia is one of the members of the European Union that has decided to expel Russian diplomatic personnel in response to the poisoning of former Russian agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter in the United Kingdom. Thus it has sided with the EU and the US.
