Delegation of the Ministry of Tourism and Sustainable Development, headed by the State Secretary, Damir Davidović, presented to the representatives of Chinese tourism industry potentials of Montenegro on the occasion of “Silk Road Tourism” conference held from April 24 to April 26 in Dubrovnik.
Davidović presented our country as tourism destination, but he also pointed out achieved results, recent trends and forecasts in tourism for the next year.
“For the first time in its history, 2 million tourists visited Montenegro in 2017. Almost 1 billion EUR income was achieved. Also, Davidović presented development projects at the south and north of Montenegro, while pointing out their potential for the further growth of the traffic in tourism and overall improvement of the destination”, it was stated in the report.
As far as the number of Chinese tourists in Montenegro is concerned, it’s increasing drastically.
“During 2017, around 23.000 tourists visited Montenegro, which is 100 % increase in comparison to 2016. And according to the currently available data, there will be even more of them this year”, he said.
The Conference was organized by CSEBA and Silk Road International Chamber of Commerce (SRCIC).
