Krivokapic-Lohela: Parliament – a place for dialogue and decision-making

Krivokapic has gone to Helsinki to the 24th Annual Session of the OSCE PA.

“He stressed the role of the Montenegrin Parliament in the process of Euro-Atlantic integration as an institution which is considered to be the most transparent, open and politically powerful parliament, according to assessments received from various European and regional addresses,” it was stated.

They concluded at the meeting that Finland provided a sincere support to our country on its European path and that Montenegro’s aspirations towards NATO membership represented a guarantee for peace and stability in the Western Balkans.

“They expressed the willingness to strengthen cooperation between the two parliaments, particularly in terms of the EU integration through advisory and technical assistance,” it was said in the statement.

Krivokapic and Lohela stressed there was room for intensifying cooperation between the two states in all fields, particularly economy.

They agreed that strengthening the rule of law enhanced investments and made a country significantly attractive to investors.

Krivokapic thanked Lohela for the professional assistance Finland provided to Montenegro related to negotiation Chapters 23 and 24, as well as in the fields of education and border management.
