The University of Montenegro, UCG, has verified 91 written works published since 12 April and determined that each one of them was original in their content, writes Pobjeda, a daily. They emphasized that 7 scientific works were checked for duplication, as well as 79 master’s thesis and 6 publications issued by the University.

“These checks were conducted with the aim of preventing plagiarism at our institution. We have software for verifying originality of works before we present them to the public so that we can timely detect plagiarism and act accordingly.”

The University of Montenegro, they added, performs regular checks on documents’ originality, taking into account a general good and preservation of academic integrity.

As they explain, documents are being sent in the e-form after which software automatically verifies their originality.

“The UCG possesses licenced software for plagiarism detection ‘Ithenticate’. The author’s works are being assessed by the UCG’s regulatory bodies: Committee for monitoring Master’s thesis, the PhD Thesis Committee and Editorial Committee of the University,” they explained.
