The construction of the priority section of the highway officially began on May 11th this year and it is to be finished by May 11th 2019.

This capital infrastructure project is 809.6 million worth, 687 million of which is provided through the loan of the Chinese Exim Bank. The loan is granted for 20 years with six years grace period and 2% annual interest rate.

Of the total cost for the design and construction of the priority section of the highway, 85% will be provided through the Exim Bank loan, and the State will provide the remaining 15%.

The priority section is 41km long. The price is 19.7 million per kilometre and it has been defined by the facilities along the route.

The contract on design and construction of the priority section of the highway was signed with the Chinese companies the CRBC and the China Communications Construction Company (CCCC).
