Vucinic said that Montenegrin movement is not a political party, but it doesn’t mean that it won’t be actively involved in political life in Montenegro.
“We want to promote values that we nurture as Montenegrins, and to make our country pleasant for living in it”, said Vucinic at the press conference, and it was reported by MINA.
In the name of the Movement, he called out members of all parties that share his program guidelines to join the Movement’s activities.
“Our obligation is to protect our country, culture, tradition and customs, and to pass them on to our successors. The country, the language, Montengrin church, Archbishopry of Bar, history, but also the whole cultural heritage that we hold valuable and that we won’t give up on or change”, said Vucinic.
He said that the first task of the Movement is creation of the big Statute, which will define goals and values that Movement will strive for and which will be offered to public for signing.
Vucinic explained that the newly founded Movement will organize panels and discussions, petitions, protest gatherings, and use other democratic means in order to protect interests of Montenegrin nations.
They will, as he said, try to influence the media so that special attention would be given to education of citizens.
“Montenegrin movement will work on forming a lobby that will work for the benefits of the nation and fight against the groups that directly attack and cause damage to Montenegro around the world, and especially in United States of America”, said Vucinic.
One of the founders of the movement, Slobodan Jovanovic, said that Montenegro is a civil country by the consitutions, while in reality it is a nation in which only Montenegrins are citizens.
Savic Rasovic said that there are political organizations in Washington that are working against the interests of Montenegro.
“We will do everything to reduce and annihilate effects of their actions. We will make moves that will enable citizens of Montenegro that when they go somewhere abroad, they don’t have to explain which language they’re speaking anymore, and that they have their culture because it will be on google, and on Wikipedia as well”, he concluded.
