President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Ivan Brajović, met in Vatican today with the Head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis. Once again, on this occasion, the importance of harmonized coexistence of the participants of different religions, nations and cultures has been put into focus.
“In the conversation with the Pope, I expressed my pleasure and honor about the encounter, not only because he is the Head of the Catholic Church, but also because, right in this moment, when the whole world is faced with a serious crisis, he promotes humanity as a supreme value. I said to the Pope that he would do Montenegro a great honor if he came to visit us”, said Ivan Brajović.
The Pope said that Montenegro „is special to him, because back in 1992, he was ordained by bishop Emilio Ognjenović, originally from Montenegro.
Brajović gave the Saint Father the first example of the solemn edition of “The Mountain Wreath”, translated into Italian. He also got the miniature of the goldsmith from the belt of the uniform of the Navy from Boka.
