In the first six months of 2019, Customs Administration has reached a solid level of excise on cigarettes collection.
“Gross excise on cigarettes collection amounted €19.873.066. In the same period in 2018, it was collected €17.706.312. That’s an increase of 12,23%”, said the representatives of Customs Administration.
They point out that positive trend also reflects in greater number of issued excise stamps for cigarettes, which is by 42% higher than in the same period last year.
“Even higher excise collection is to be expected in the next three months, on the grounds of taken and ordered excise stamps”,reads the statement of the Customs Administration.
