Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Financial System in the Government of Montenegro, Milutin Simović, and German Federal Minister for Economy and Energy, Peter Altmaier, signed today the Partnership Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany. Both sides noted that the visit of the German delegation and signing of the Agreement confirmed the support of the Federal Republic of Germany to the reforms in Montenegro.
“Today’s visit is a clear confirmation of Germany’s interest in the Montenegrin market and a recognition to the Government of Montenegro that it has created an attractive and stable investment framework,” DPM Simović said.
Minister Altmaier reiterated that today’s visit was the result of Prime Minister Dusko Marković’s visit to Berlin half a year ago and the agreement that the two countries should take concrete steps to strengthen cooperation.
“We back Montenegro’s progress over the past years and the transformation of its economy, the rule of law and securing a market economy. We wanted to emphasize this support with this visit.”
Mr Altmaier announced the opening of a German Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro and assessed that the idea of our young businessmen’s visit to Germany would strengthen the ties between the two countries.
