„The whole faculty doesn’t have the same energy that it had earlier. Graduate studies have been cancelled, there aren’t even PhD studies anymore, so it all came down to a lower institution for higher education. Without PhD studies there can’t be new domestic scientists. Youth has very difficult conditions for progress. I don’t have any more will to cooperate here”, said Malovic who was hired with Dr Andrijana Rabrenovic on journalism studies, where he taught Theory of mass communication.
When he came back to Croatia last week after the lecture, the professor sent an irrvocable resignation to dean Sasa Knezevic by which he cancelled his cooperation. Some details are sometimes enough to “spill the glass”.
„On that day I didn’t have internet in order to give the lecture and nothing was working. The dean told me that he’s sorry that I had decided to cancel the cooperation”, said Malovic.
Dean of FPN Sasa Knezevic, in his comments of why Malovic cancelled the cooperation with them, said for Pobjeda that “it’s the way he saw some things and I don’t want to go into that”. FPN is a relatively young faculty so it had many guest professors at the beginning, but it’s a different situation nowadays. Out of 17 guest professors only three are currently hired.
„It’s less and less of them because we have domestic personnel now and they are now covering the study programs”, said Knezevic.
