On the nineteenth day of the DF protests held on the Boulevard of Sveti Petar Cetinjski, in front of the Parliament of Montenegro in Podgorica, gathered protesters roasted a pig, causing public indignation.
The DPS stated that it would be superfluous to try to belittle and ridicule the protest of the Democratic Front.
“Since Mr Mandic and his comrades have been doing it great from the very beginning. No one has to make any ‘media strategy against the protests’. The DF does it so well, that we would not interfere in their work. It seems that even roasted meat cannot help them in gathering demonstrators, since Mandic, Medojevic, Radulovic, Knezevic and others were so good hosts, that there was no one to eat the pig 21 kg of weight. And it is all of their political activism that will be remembered – empty tents and a roasted pig,” the DPS said.
They emphasised that it was now proven that those were not civic and peaceful protests.
“The DF threatens and insults anyone they could remember of – students, intellectuals, trade unions, then the opposition counterparts and non-governmental sector, as well as regional and international officials. I addition to that, their iconography and messages from Medojevic’s stage managed to convince everyone that those are not ‘civil and peaceful’ protests, but only on a gathering of a few politically desperate people, who see all those who do not think like they do as their enemies. As the leaders of the DF are making their efforts to convince themselves that there are ‘more than enough’ of them, the speakers are persistently deny it, admitting every night that they have not been supported even by their own families and calling anyone to join them. After 20 days, they might have realised that nobody wants to participate in their political downfall,” the DPS added.
They called Andrija Mandic and Nebojsa Medojevic to admit their defeat.
“Instead of repeating the same story for days, trying to maintain somewhat positive atmosphere referring to ’writing a new history’ and setting a spit on the main boulevard, it would be much more useful for Mr Mandic and the others if they, for once in their political career, admitted that they were to blame for their defeats”, the DPS concluded.
