Ministry of Economy made a statement saying that four educational and six health care facilities in Montenegro will go through two programs that entail measures of energy efficiency. This investment will be in the amount of 4,5 million EUR.
Through Program of energy efficiency in public buildings – phase I and II (EEPPB) that started in 2012, Ministry of Economy in cooperation with Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare and Property Administration will begin implementing measures of energy efficiency in high school Slobodan Skerovic, Resource Center June 1st, and Resource Center for Children and Youth in Podgorica, as well as elementary school Milan Vukotic in Golubovci.
“These four facilities will cost 2,7 million EUR”, it was said in the Ministry.
Through project Energy efficiency in Montenegro (MEEP) that started in 2009, Ministry of Economy along with Ministry of Health will start reconstruction on Clinical Center building, which will cost 1,1 million EUR. The construction will be finalized in March 2017.
Works will be continued in health centers of Niksic, Kolasin, Andrijevica and Petnjica. Last year, these centers had their technical installations adapted with electro installations. This year, construction works will be done in these centers, along with health care station Murino. These works will cost 725.000 EUR, it was stated in the Ministry.
“These energy efficiency programs entail thermal isolation on the outer walls, thermo and hydro isolation on the roofs, reconstruction of locks, reconstruction of heating systems, etc. Adapted facilities will be improved and have comfortable conditions”, the Ministry stated.
EEPPB project is financed from credit in the amount of 31,5 million EUR and donation in the amount of 4,7 million EUR that were provided by German Development Bank KfW. MEEP project is financed from credit given by International Bank for Reconstruction and Development IBRD in the amount of 11,5 million EUR.
