Traffic jams in Podgorica are nothing new. Roads are stuffed with traffic and drivers are frustrated. George Washington Boulevard, Dalmatinska and Moskovska Street are top three “bottlenecks” in Podgorica. According to local administration, first steps towards addressing this problem have already taken.
As representatives of the Secretariat for Transport in the Capital told CdM, plans are afoot for reconstruction of part of Dalmatinska St from the George Washington Blvd to Moskovska Street, and reconstruction of a boulevard-Dalmatisnka Street crossroads.
“Technical solution encompassing a roundabout on the crossroads between Dalmatinska Street and George Washington Boulevard and additional traffic lane in Dalmatinska Street is in the preparation phase”, said Mr Dragoljub Šarović, from the Secretariat.

He stressed that the solution contained new regulations concerning Moskovska and Dalmatinska Street crossroads.
Implementation of those programs will take time. Until then, drivers should obey traffic regulations and road conditions.
