PM Dritan Abazovic and the Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Porfirije have secretly signed the Agreement between Montenegro and SPC today, in Villa Gorica. This information has been confirmed by Abazovic’s posts on social networks. This is, by the way, an unprecedented case of the Prime Minister signing a document in this way, the content of which has been disputed by numerous legal experts, NGOs, Montenegrin Academy of Science and Art (CANU), politicians…
Without prior announcement, Porfirije arrived in Podgorica this morning by plane of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia.
Unofficially, the passenger list was changed at the last minute, because Porfirije was not originally included in it.
While the Agreement was being signed, the approaches to the Villa Gorica were blocked, and as reported by a CdM journalist from the scene, jeeps entered the villa from a side street.
Today’s signing of the Agreement was attended by Metropolitan of the Montenegro and the Littoral Joanikije and Minister of Justice Marko Kovac.
CdM previously published the allegations of some media that the signing would take place on 3 August, but Abazovic said afterwards that he did not know when the signing would be organized.
