Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic, with the prepared documentation, has given a statement to the prosecutors at the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT) about cigarette smuggling in Montenegro – a scheme of related persons and companies. As he has told journalists, by destroying cigarette smuggling, the pyramid of cocaine smuggling and the influence of certain structures in Montenegro are also destroyed. Abazovic has also said that he mentioned specific names at SDT.
He spoke about specific names, and about his knowledge related to a period of three or four years.
Abazovic claims that the people mentioned in the smuggling of cigarettes in Montenegro can be linked to the murder of the editor of Dan, Dusko Jovanovic.
When asked why he has waited so long to come out with this data, Abazovic claims that he has devoted two years to this.
Abazovic has announced that Chief Special Prosecutor Vladimir Novovic will receive all the protection he needs.
Abazovic believes that his safety is also at risk.
