The government will help important infrastructure projects in Ulcinj and fully support the project of building a boulevard towards Ada, Vice-President of the Government, Mr Ditan Abazović, said during his first official visit to the coastal municipality.
He said that Ulcinj is one of the municipalities with most resources.
“This hasn’t been valorized in the best way in the previous period, which must change as soon as possible” Mr Abazović said who was accompanied with Minister of Finance and Social Affairs, Mr Milojko Spajić, and Minister of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism, Mr Ratko Mitrović.
Mr Spajić stated that the Government had great investment ambitions for Ulcinj, having in mind the extremely great economic potential of this municipality.
“With a view to preventing further devastation of natural resources, investing in ecology is crucial. Special care will be taken to ensure that all future investments are environmentally friendly,” Mr Spajić said, adding that the southernmost Montenegrin municipality will have the full support and assistance of the government.
Minister Mitrović was especially interested in the level of resolution of property-legal relations necessary for further urban interventions on the territory of the municipality of Ulcinj. Together with State Secretary, Mr Danilo Mrdak, and representatives of NGOs for environmental protection, he gained additional insight into key environmental points and problems, as well as the need to solve them as soon as possible.
“It is necessary to put Solana in function: first production, then educational and tourist, taking, above all and above all, care to be completely ecologically preserved and improved. The door of all well-meaning experts dedicated to these problems is now open,” Mr Mitrović said.
The President of the Municipality of Ulcinj, Mr Ljoro Nrekić, wished happy work to the newly elected Government.
