Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Dritan Abazović, commented today, unprovoked, the resignation of Ms Vesna Medenica.

For the reminder, Ms Medenica announced on October 12 this year that she would resign, and today she officially did so. She was fiercely criticized when she was elected for the third term as head of the Supreme Court. The European Commission also made their comments on that.
The former Minister of Justice, Mr Zoran Pažin, said back in June that he expected the presidents of the courts elected for the third term, including the president of the Supreme Court, Ms Vesna Medenica, to resign from those positions.
So Ms Medenica‘s resignation is no surprise, and Mr Abazović uses Medenica’s resignation for self-promotion.
