Abazovic: May PM-designate Spajic make a statement about census; We won’t support Mandic

Caretaker PM and URA leader Dritan Abazovic said today that the question for the PM-designate Milojko Spajic was whether the announced population census would be postponed or not.

“Ask the PM-designate why he doesn’t say anything about the census. What does he think about the census, will he postpone it or not? As for the Government of Montenegro, it has finished with all the big issues it had on the agenda. We can implement the census, just as we implemented every difficult issue. Even when people didn’t fully believe”, Abazovic told reporters, among other things.

When asked whether URA would support the election of the leader of the New Serbian Democracy (NSD) Andrija Mandic as the parliament speaker, Abazovic said that URA had not participated in the negotiations for the creation of a government and a new parliamentary majority.

“From the moment when the new government and parliamentary majority are elected, we will be the opposition. Why should we support it when we are not part of the majority? Those who create the majority should vote”, Abazovic says.

When asked if he knew when the parliament session would be held, Abazovic replied that he had seen the information that it would supposedly be held on Monday.

“I don’t have any other information, I think it’s better to have it as soon as possible”, Abazovic added.
