At the press conference after today’s National Security Council session, outgoing PM Dritan Abazovic severly criticized E TV.
Considering that the SKY correspondence was discussed at the session, the question of the E TV journalist was what the criteria for convening the session were since it had not been convened when he (Abazovic) as well as other officials were mentioned in the correspondence. Abazovic replied that the principle was identical, only that “no fuss was made like before the parliamentary elections, because now there is a different interest”.
“The council works regularly, has a regular session… I don’t understand the question when it comes to the principle, but I understand the need for some people, who may be mentioned there, to defend themselves. That’s okay with me”, said Abazovic.
The E TV journalist said that one got the impression that when SKY communications were published in certain media, Abazovic believed them, while on the other hand, when they were published in some other media, he did not believe them.
To the allegations of the E TV journalist that there was a stir after the publication of the SKY application thanks to Abazovic and to her question why he did not make a fuss when he was referred to as “Brother Abaz”, Abazovic replied that he trusted media that had legal funding.
“I am the prime minister and what your media has continuously been publishing about me is completely untrue. Starting from the betrayal of national interests, through working for other countries, the church, to €21m… everything is untrue,” Abazovic claimed.
