Agovic: Post-election coalitions possible, blackmail not

Agović

The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) expects to win absolute power in Petnjica, but that does not mean that we will exercise power on our own. Post-election coalitions, primarily with Social Democrats (SD) and Bosniak Party (BS), are possible. However, we will not allow anyone to blackmail or humiliate us, or to govern the municipality with 2%, 3% or 5% of votes and impose stances contrary to our policy, Samir Agovic, DPS list leader in the Petnjica elections.

Asked whether the conflict with the Bosniak Party could influence the post-election cooperation of the two parties, he said that DPS had a correct attitude with that party at both the local and the state level.

Speaking about the results achieved so far, Agovic pointed out that DPS was committed to responsible and honest work during its term of office.

“We focused on the development of transport and utility infrastructure, as well as social development, and we have achieved visible results. I believe that we deserve people’s support,” Agovic said.

He announced capital projects in the next term of office.

“We will continue developing the traffic infrastructure. Next year, we expect to modernise the second section of the Berane-Petnjica regional road. This is one of the most important projects in our municipality, which is €7m worth,” Agovic said.
